Players miss the clanking and clanging of coins and the hands-on scooping up of jackpot winnings, so why are so many casinos converting to coinless slot machines? Brian Casey, marketing manager for leading slot machine manufacturer IGT, says about 130,000 of the 700,000 slots in North America are now coinless and the number is growing rapidly.

New Florida Law Expands Gambling
A new Florida law allows state horse racing tracks to add card rooms and permits larger stakes in poker games at tracks and jai alai frontons. The bill (HB 1059) became law on Wednesday with the passing of Florida Governor Jeb Bush’s deadline to veto it.
